I’m working on a screenplay and I’m looking for interesting ideas… (so the answer “why would you want to do that,” in fact, isn’t very helpful). That’s the problem with this site. In their attempts to answer the question, people either go for the gold or don’t try at all.
Anything that allows the body to disappear is usually the way to go. This includes car crashes into bodies of water (actually drownings in general), bombs, and fires.
Something more creative might be to actually die (usually involving some kind of drug to simulate death) then be revived when no one is looking. Of course, you need allies to be able to pull this off. Jack Bauer did it in season 4 of 24, and Bruce Wayne did it at the end of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns…
